PRETZEL LOVERS..

Pretzel.. pretzel.. pretzel..
This twisted bread, comes in any sizes & any topings & any ways.. from small to big, from hard to soft, from bread to snack. Pretzel it's always be a great bites.

Originated from Germany, pretzel has been developed from it's original salty flavor & presentation & forms. Now, it's not only salted bread, but people put different flavor on it: cinnamon, sour cream, etc, and some of people make pretzel as sandwich too... and make sauces to go with it... honey mustard, jalapeno, cheese, etc.

original pretzel

Just slice the pretzel into half & spread some butter on the inside part of the pretzel, put your favorite roast beef / ham & cheese (melted / just slices) and maybe some lettuce, tomato & onions... and voila... a delicious pretzel sandwich is ready to be eatten... it's simple, easy & very quick to make, and it can become alternative for burger / sandwiches. You can also put different sauces: pesto, sour cream, honey mustard, barbeque, etc.

TOP CHEF

It's definitely my favorite show. It's an enjoyable show, a must see for those of you who have passion on food.

It's a reality show on looking for the new top chef.
The show's host by a beautiful model Padma Lakshmi, and head judge Tom Colicchio, with different guest judges every week, from the culinary world, and culinary magazine: Food & Wine, etc.

It presents 14 different chefs, from all sort of background, from culinary school students, line chef, executive chefs, until the chefs that has it's own restaurant.

The shows are full with creativity and you can really explore the richness of culinary world. New techniques in cooking and I admire the ability of the chefs.. on combining the ingredients & formulating new recipes in short limited times and yet... they are able to present a beautiful & delicious creation on food.

Chef Tom Colicchio & Padma Lakshmi as the judge & host of Top Chef.

I think it's gonna be great for every chefs to follow this show.. so that they will get new insights & enhance their references.

CAPOCCACIA

That day, we were waiting for our friend to pick us up and the mall was closing, so we had to find a place that opens late. Then, our choice land on Capoccia, lead by another friend's recommendation.

The restaurant menu only offers selection of sandwiches, paninis & cocktails. So we order the most favorite sandwich of the restaurant: Braziolla, which is consist of smoke beef, aragula salad, and cheese.

When it came, the sandwich doesn't look attractive as the price. it was just a simple grilled bugguet sandwich, with layers of smoke beef/ turkey. However, on the first bite.. it reminded me of the taste of the sandwich that i tasted in Switzerland (i studied in Switzerland). The freshness of the material used.. wow it really make the combination flavor of the ingredients so delicious and unforgettable. It's just so... fresh and well cooked, which makes the sandwich worth the price, even though the portion is small, but it suitable for 1 person...

Capoccacia Sandwich.

We asked them if they have some pasta dishes; apparently they only have 1 pasta dish, which is Spaghetti Aglio Olio, with choices of protein that can be cooked with the pasta: tuna, salmon, turkey, smoke beef. They don't have this on the menu, so you have to ask them.

Well, i think it's the best Aglio Olio pasta i've ever tasted. They only use Olive oil & white wine, but it was so nice. Very light taste, well seasoned & just make you want more and more.

And last, we tried the Panna Cotta desert. It is also well made. With two different sauce: Chocolate & raspberry... It's just make the dining experience memorable & make us want to go back there.

The food here is made with its original taste of its origin: Swiss and French. Since Capoccacia is from Switzerland. They do not modified the ingredients and even the taste to be accepted by Indonesia taste, which make the restaurant one of the best destination if you want to taste something different from the plates that you know already.

It's just one of my favorite dining place, and hang out place. Their selection of Wine & Cocktail will be a great companion for our chats & meeting.
